CNPO demands justice

Condemning the recent alleged abduction of D James Lamkang on October 23, the Chandel Naga People's Organisation (CNPO) has urged the concerned authority to deliver justice.
According to a press release issued by CNPO, special contractor D James Lamkang was abducted by miscreants from Tiddim Road around 10 am on October 23 and taken to Nambol.
Here, the special contractor was forced to sign a cheque for the amount of Rs 28 lakhs.
On the next day, the victim reported the incident to the Officer in-charge at Singjamei police station, as per the press note.
However, CNPO claimed that the concerned authorities have neither responded nor taken any action in this regard.
CNPO has demanded the concerned authority to deliver justice for D James Lamkang and to put an end to the threat on the victim's family as the demand for the aforementioned sum still continues, said the press note.
Further, the organisation has urged law enforcement agencies to work towards preventing such incidents.
