Imphal, July 01 2022: GOC-in-C of Eastern Command Lieutenant General Rana Pratap Kalita, along with Lieutenant General RC Tiwari Spear Corps visited the field formations and forward areas of Assam Rifles in Manipur on June 30 and July 1 .

During the visit, the Army Commander was briefed in detail by the field commanders about the prevailing security situation and operational preparedness.

The General Officer expressed satisfaction on the security measures and operational preparedness of the Assam Rifles and also appreciated the untiring efforts of the forces in difficult and inhospitable conditions and commended them for carrying out people friendly operations.

Earlier, the GOC visited Tupul landslide area and oversaw the ongoing rescue operations.

He also interacted with survivors at Assam Rifles Multispeciality Hospital, Mantripukhri.
