Assistance provided to kidney failure patient

Tae-Kwondo Training School, Keishampat and Indigenous People's Association of Kangleipak (IPAK) today extended a monetary aid of Rs 20,000 to the family of Maibam Shyamkumar (23) who has been battling with failure of both his kidneys.
Maibam Shyamkumar @ Abung is the son of Kunjo and Sanhal from Tentha Khunou, Thoubal district.
A team led by Elangbam Rishikanta, coach Tae-Kwondo Training School, Keishampat and Kshetrimayum Somendro, president IPAK visited the residence of Shyamkumar and interacted with his parents.
Speaking to media persons, Elangbam Rishikanta shared that the aid was provided to support the family and help in Maibam Shyamkumar's treatment.
"The family has been going through a hard time as Shyamkumar was the sole provider of his family before he was bedridden", he added.
E Rishikanta further appealed to the public to extend their support to the family.
It may be mentioned that Shyamkumar had undergone dialysis many times since January 16, 2023 and has been waiting for kidney transplant, but the family had not been able to provide the money required for the operation.
