Tengnoupal, November 30 2020:
The Kuki Chiefs' Association (KCA), Tengnoupal district has strongly warned Government employees in the district to be regular and not absent themselves from office.
In a statement, KCA said that large sale abstention of Government employees came to light during a joint drive conducted along with other CSOs of the district.
Staff of various departments including the SDO are not attending their office at Tengnoupal district headquarters, it said and added that instead, they execute their official work at their personal residence at their respective villages, it added.
The KCA and other CSOs in Tengnoupal district held a joint meeting on November 27 to resolve the issue.
The joint meeting resolution mentioned that all the staff of various departments in Tengnoupal district including the Social Welfare Department should attend their office and execute their work at the district headquarters.
SDO should be at the district headquarters and execute his work from office.
The KCA also urged the State Government to appoint SDC for Tengnoupal district headquarters.
KCA further appealed to the staff and officers of Government departments to follow the resolutions of the joint meeting on or before January 17 next year.
The KCA expressed gratitude to DC M Raj Kumar IAS for constructing the conference hall at DC office Tengnoupal.
The DC had also taken up various developmental projects in the district during his tenure as DC Tengnoupal.
The KCA also appealed to the State government to appoint a DC exclusively for Tengnoupal district to address the various needs of the people in the district.
