Kut greetings

Imphal, October 31 2012:
Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh and Speaker Th Lokeshore among others have extended greetings to the people of Manipur especially the Kuki-Chin-Mizo community on the occasion of Kut festival.
In his message, Chief Minister said that Kut festival occupies a unique position not only among the Kuki-Chin-Mizo groups but also among other communities in the state.
While extending his heartiest greetings and best wishes to all, the Chief Minister also wished the festival to strengthen the bond of love, peace and brotherhood amongst the different communities living in the state.
Speaker of Manipur legislative Assembly Th Lokeshore also expressed his firm belief for strengthening the bond of love among various communities of the state with the coming of the Kut Festival.
Major General UK Gurung, YSM,IGAR(S) and all Ranks of Assam Rifles have also extended warm greetings to the people of Manipur on the auspicious occasion of "Kut Festival" .
IGAR(S) conveyed his message of peace, harmony, unity and understanding on this joyous occasion and wished that this socio-cultural festival would bring joy, happiness and prosperity in the region by bringing together people of all communities of Manipur.
Kuki Inpi, Manipur (KIM) also greeted the Chin-Kuki�Mizo community of the region on occasion of Kut Festival.
In a statement, KIM reminded the glorious day of Kuki ancestors and their courage to protect their ancestral land from the hands of the mighty British.
It also called for peaceful co-existence and prosperous future by reiterating stands on "non-communal", Peaceful co-existence" and "Justice for all" .
