Naga bodies urge

Naga tribe organisations have appealed to both the NSCN-IM and the Government of India to expedite the Naga peace process, reports NNN.
This was recommended after a thorough deliberation at the Naga Hoho's Presidential Council meeting held at Hotel Japfu today in Kohima, which was attended by more than 20 tribe presidents along with their executives.
The meeting deliberated at length on the signing of the Framework Agreement on August 3, 2015 between the Government of India and the NSCN (IM).
"It may be mentioned here that all the presidents of various tribe hohos participated with enthusiasm to represent their respective communities," the Naga Hoho said.
After a thorough deliberation, the house strongly recommended that in the best interest of the Nagas, the peace process and the negotiations have to be strengthened in order to realise 'our goals and aspirations' .
The meeting also appealed to both the Government of India and the NSCN (IM) to expedite the process towards and bring an early political settlement.
