Kh Itocha & M Ibtombi Memorial Award Distribution function

The 5th & 2nd Kh Itocha & M Ibtombi Memorial Award Distribution function, 2011 was held at Heirok Part-I Umang Leikol today along with honouring student toppers of Heirok Kendra, Heirok Private Centres and candidates selected for studying medical from Heirok Kendra.
The event was organised under the aegis of People Organisation for Civil Integrity & Liberty (POCIL), Heirok.
Speaking at the occasion, Dr Kh Palin pointed out that as a norm, there should be three doctors for every 1000 people.
But in Manipur, there is not even one doctor for every 1000 people.
So, Manipur needs to produce more doctors.
Dr Palin said that the award to the selected medical students has been instituted in memory of his late father Kh Itocha, who was interested in social work and encouraging people.
In today's function, students toppers in class 10th and 12th examination from Heirok Kendra have been honoured with the award.
