Students protest Rahul Gandhi's visit

Imphal, February 28 2017: Demanding announcement of the details of the Framework Agreement signed between NSCN (IM) and Government of India, students of Regular English School under the aegis of All Manipur Students' Union (AMSU) protested the visit of All India Congress Committee (AICC) vice-president Rahul Gandhi to the State today.

The protest demonstration was staged at Tiddim ground along the Airport road.

However, the visit of the Congress leader was not affected .

Security personnel were deployed at the protest site to prevent the student protesters from causing disturbance to the visit.

The students formed a human chain and held placards inscribed with slogans against the non-disclosure of the contents of the Framework Agreement.
