Five day capacity building programme held

Imphal, December 31 2021: A five day capacity building programme on Multilingual Approach at the preparatory stage for Manipur (Phase-I) was held at the multipurpose hall of SCERT, Lamphelpat from December 27 to 31 .

The programme was jointly organised by the North East Regional Institute of Education (NERIE), Shillong and Directorate of SCERT, Manipur.

Around 30 school teachers and lecturers of DIET participated in the said programme.

The main objectives of the programme is to enable the teachers to accept multilingualism and multilingual classrooms to create awareness about linguistic and cultural diversity.

The valedictory function was held today which was graced by Jim G Thingujam, Joint Director/HOO, SCERT, Manipur as the chief guest and Dr Ch Sarjubala Devi as the coordinator of the programme from NERIE, Shillong.
