Foundation day held, 101 blood donors feted

Imphal, December 31 2019: Regular Voluntary Blood Donor's Group Manipur organised a felicitation ceremony for blood donors at Lamlong Higher Secondary School, Khurai today.

Social worker Thangtem Arunkumar graced the function as the chief guest while Regular Voluntary Blood Donor's Group Manipur (RVBDG) president Soibam Bimol attended as the functional president and Imphal East District Additional SP Roni Mayengbam, office coordinator (Ayush, MSMPB & NAM), Directorate of AYUSH S Tondang, Lairenjam Olen Meitei of Laipham Khunou Zilla Parishad, Pradhan, Khurai Chingangbam Leikai Lairikyengbam Kananbala and Khurai Nandeibam Leikai Zilla Parishad Pradhan Yumnam Chitra also attended as dignitaries.

Speaking as the chief guest at the first foundation day of RVBDG Manipur cum felicitation of 101 blood donors, social worker Thangjam Arunkumar said that the organisation had successfully carried out eight blood donation camps at different locations of the Sate, which is highly commendable.

People cannot expect enough when it comes to requirement of blood, be it in case of accident or treating an ailment, he said while adding that the noble youths coming in to donate blood should be highly appreciated.

Arunkumar wished for the new year to bring more good luck and wished Regular Voluntary Blood Donor's Group Manipur to prosper and conduct similar initiatives and service in the near future.
