Kangpokpi meet pledges support to BJP

Kangpokpi, March 30 2019:
A joint meeting of the ruling BJP Minister from Kangpokpi, Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council Members, District BJP leaders, CSOs leaders, and election committee of the local MLA pledged to support BJP in the ensuing Lok Sabha Election today.
The joint meeting, organized by Social Welfare and Cooperation Minister Nemcha Kipgen and Election Campaign Committee of Sadar Hills was attended by over 120 people including members of ADC Sadar Hills, Kangpokpi Town Committee, KWWO, KYU, Election Committee of Minister Nemcha Kipgen, District BJP leaders and workers from all the three Mandals of Kangpokpi.
ADC Sadar Hills Chairman Haokholal Hangshing, who is also the Chairman of Election Campaign Committee of Sadar Hills, vice president ADC Sadar Hills Thangjakam Misao and executive members of ADC Sadar Hills also attended the function.
On the other hand, the election campaign for Outer Manipur BJP candidate Benjamin Mate was kicked off during the meeting while the gathering pledged to support the BJP in the ensuing Lok Sabha election.
Speaking at the event, Minister Nemcha Kipgen said that the party has chosen a young, dynamic, talented and visionary youth for the people of the Outer Manipur PC with an aim to bring more inclusive development and innovative changes.
The Minister maintained that the BJP, in two years of its governance has shown tremendous changes in all aspects of life for youth, women, men and aged people while exhibiting the party's ideology in bringing inclusive growth and development irrespective of the hills and the valley.
"Who has ever told you not to go to Church or who has ever told you not to eat beef in Manipur?" asked the Minister and clarified the anti-Christian allegation made against the BJP Govt stating that the allegation is aimed to mislead the people and their huge support to the party.
BJP is a secular party working in accordance with the fundamental rights of the people, Nemcha said.
She urged the district BJP leaders, Mandals leaders, CSOs leaders and workers to put maximum efforts in their respective areas for the party's Outer Manipur PC candidate while appealing the public of Kangpokpi to once again show their unity and give a chance to the BJP Outer Manipur PC candidate in serving the people.
ADC Sadar Hills Chairman Haokholal Hangshing, Vice Chairman Thangjakam Misao, Bhumi Prasad Vikas Basnet, Executive Member, ADC Sadar Hills, Kaisei Lhouvum, Executive Members, ADC Sadar Hills, Wilinlungbou, Member ADC Sadar Hills, Dinglar Chiru, Member ADC Sadar Hills, BJP Sadar Hills president Thangjamang Kipgen also spoke on the occasion.
Meanwhile, in connection with the ensuing Lok Sabha Election 2019, the BJP Election Campaign Committee of Sadar Hills was formed under the aegis of BJP Manipur Pradesh and elected Haokholal Hangshing and Tonglen Lunkim as Chairman and secretary of the Committee respectively.
The Election Campaign Committee of Sadar Hills for Outer Manipur PC said that a huge campaign will be organised on April 8 at M Thomas Ground, Kangpokpi DHQs in the presence of the Chief Minister N Biren and other National party leaders.
