Kakching, December 29 2024: Demanding unconditional release of arrested village volunteers who were arrested in connection with November 16 incident that occurred in Kakching, the family members of the victims staged a sit-in protest today at Kakchingkeithel today.

During the demonstration, the protesters urged the authorities to stop arresting the village volunteers who have come out to protect the motherland and also demanded the concerned authority to release the arrested village volunteers in connection with the incident that occured in Kakching on November 16 by the security forces.

Protesters raised slogans like "Stop arresting village volunteers", "Release arrested village volunteers immediately", during the protest.
