The JAC against the Unnatural Death of Irengbam Ningol Pukhrambam Ongbi Roshni has asserted that the victim did not commit suicide by hanging but was murdered.
Speaking to media persons at Babupara, JAC convenor Ch Joykumar condemned the mysterious death of Roshni.
Urging the State Government to take up steps and pull up the culprits and judge accordingly, he said that the culprits must be punished for the brutal act.
He said that Chandrakumar married Roshni in February this year.
Due to financial related issue, the couple had a fight and Chandrakumar had beaten her in front of others.
He even told Roshni to go back to her paternal home, Joykumar charged.
A month after their marriage, Roshni visited her paternal home with Chandrakumar where he left Roshni for a while.
Then he came back drunk and beat her up.
There was also an incident where Chandrakumar in an inebriated state threatened Roshni to stab her, Joykumar claimed.
