CM calls for tackling educated unemployed

The greatest headache of the Manipur Government and the people of the state is the problem of educated unemployment, even more so as the number of unemployed youths crosseed 7 lakhs.
To solve this major problem, Manipur CM O Ibobi appealed for the support of all the House members and the public.
This was a clarification given by the CM on the various charges brought up by MLAs Dr I Ibohalbi, L Ibomcha, Samuel Rishom and K Shyam while discussing the Budget Estimates 2015-16.The MLAs charged that the budget estimate is not complete and is unsatisfactory.
Appreciating the various observations and suggestions given by MLAs, Ibobi further said that the state government is facing a tough situation as the Special Category Status given to the North Eastern states had been removed, resulting to massive fund cut-downs in the various Central-sponsored schemes in the state.
Even, the government is unable to give the salaries of government employees in time.
In an effort to solve the crisis somehow, he had drawn the attention of the various ministries to reintroduce the Special Category Status in the recently-held Niti Ayog Meeting at New Delhi.
Ibobi further said that the budget has been made and compiled very carefully and the expenses have been carefully monitored and filtrated by his government.
On other hand, the problem of leakage of tax collections from Moreh side will be solved once the Integrated Check Post of Moreh is inaugurated by April or May of 2016 .
On the other hand, he expressed his happiness in learning MLA Samuel Risom's assurance that ADC members will be made functioning from hill areas, adding that the wish of the government is the same.
He also expressed his willingness to invite all the house members, especially hill MLAs, while inaugurating any developmental projects in hill areas so that the doubt and apprehensions of hill representatives are cleared.
Ibobi also addressed the issue of unemployment problem in Manipur and requested the help of all in bring a permanent solution to this problem.
