Cultural Regale of MSU concludes

Senapati, December 28 2024: The Cultural Regale of Mao Students' Union in commemoration of its 91st anniversary concluded today with various cultural items and competitions.

Pfokrehrii Matekho Pekosii, president, MSU in his welcome address stated the importance of preserving and promoting one's culture that shows one's identity.

While urging all to be model citizens, the student president urged the gathering to love, support and promote one another.

He said that such programs instilled the young minds about their ancestors, who have a rich and vibrant culture.

While the program was held under the theme, "Honouring Our Ancestors," the student leader urged all to continue passing on the history of the past through folktales, folksongs and folk dances even to the coming generations.

Mao Council president, Athikho Joseph in his speech stated that Mao people are blessed to inherit the rich culture of their ancestors who were believed to be the original architects that had been transcended to the present generations.

He urged the youth to face any challenges and difficulties with audacity to be a stronger person and assured that the Union will stand for the youth to become better people even in future.
