Imphal, June 28 2016: The JAC Against the Cruel Firing at Nungei Meira Paibi has decried the demand of the JAC constituted in connection with the death of a boy in a violent confrontation between two neighbouring villages at Lilong Nungei yesterday.

The new JAC's demand to pull up seven volunteers of the JAC Against the Cruel Firing at Nungei Meira Paibi including its convenor lacks rationale.

The demand is an attempt to conceal the three persons accused of opening fire at Nungei Meira Paibis on April 11 this year, said a press release.

If the Government takes up any step to arrest any member of the JAC Against the Cruel Firing at Nungei Meira Paibi, it would be assumed that the Government is also a party to the conspiracy to eliminate all the people of one Nungei village.

Any attempt to pull leaders of the JAC Against the Cruel Firing at Nungei Meira Paibi would further complicate the issue rather than solving it, it asserted.

It further informed that all the people of the village would leave their homesteads if the Government does not take up adequate security measures to protect them within two days.
