A team of Custom Preventive Force (CPF) arrested a man along with drugs worth Rs 29.12 lakh at Indo-Myanmar border town, Moreh.
According to a source, a team of CPF based at the border town arrested the man along with the drugs yesterday around 4 pm at Moreh Forest Gate.
The arrested man has been identified as Jilkhothang Lhungdim (43) s/o (L) Shokhothang of Jangngoubung village, Chandel district.
The CPF team arrested him while conducting checking on suspected persons after receiving inputs that some individuals were trying to traffic the drugs from Myanmar to Imphal via Moreh.
1170 tablets of WY, suspected to have amphetamine content, were found carried by the man in a polythene bag.
1742 tablets of drugs inscribed with '88' were found carried in another polythene bag.
A single tablet of the drugs is estimated to cost Rs 1000, the source added.
