RNYO objects Rongmei general assembly

Imphal, September 26 2020: The Rongmei Naga Youth Organization (RNYO) has notified all concerned Rongmei CSOs and Rongmei public in general that the recently conducted Rongmei general assembly on September 25 and its outcome cannot be carried as people mandate one.

The press release issued by RNYO stated that the said general assembly did not constitute or represent all the Rongmei people of the 3 States, and elsewhere and claimed that it was unconstitutional and manhandled by few 'unprincipled' leaders.

The RNYO has therefore declared the said meeting as unconstitutional and objected its decisions.

Furthermore, the organizations involved/participated in the said assembly shall be ousted and nullified, it said and added that in this regard, RNCM shall no more by a recognized body of the Rongmei people.

It informed all concerned States and outside State units of RNYO to comply and adhere to the directives of RNYO accordingly.
