JAC storms Court, agrees to claim Bidyarani's body

As the accused husband in the Bidyarani mysterious dead case was produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate Thoubal, members of JAC and large number of women stormed the Court complex today.
The accused, Leishangthem Sanayaima (33) was sent to judicial remand by the Court.
Okram Ningol Leishangthem Ongbi Bidyarani, the 23-year-old mother of a two and half years old son was found hung to dead at her husbands home at Thoubal Leishangthem Wangmataba on the intervening night of Nov 18 and 19.The paternal family had claimed foul play and the accused husband had surrendered to the police and was remanded into police custody till today.

The JAC Against the Suspicious Death of Okram Ningol Leishangthem Ongbi Bidyarani Devi had refused to claim the body at Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) .
Large number of women had gathered at the gate of the CJM Thoubal since 10 in the morning before the accused husband was brought inside the Court campus at around 1 pm by security personnel.
After attempt to storm the Court, the JAC then tried to stormed the Deputy Commissioner's complex.
Police stopped them at the gate and five members of the JAC including Bidyarani's mother were allowed to meet DC N Bandana later.
During the meeting, they submitted a memorandum to the DC and agreed to claim the body for last rites as the DC assured to deliver the body to the paternal family.
