Artistes leave Imphal for Namaste India Tokyo

Imphal, September 25 2019:
A team of Government Dance College (GDC) has left Imphal Wednesday for Namaste India in Tokyo, Japan.
The team includes G Loken Sharma, GDC Senior Lecturer (Pung), L Brajakumar Singh, GDC Senior Lecturer (Flute), Binapani Devi Kongbrailatpam, Laiphrakpam Somorjit Singh, Elangbam Somorjit Singh, Shamurailatpam Abung Sharma, Bikash Mutum, Oinam Anjella Devi, Huirem Indu Devi, Laitonjam Bandana Devi, Sonia Angom and Ningthoujam Jasika.
Apart from the team, Art & Culture Minister L Jayantakumar Singh, Director Art & Culture A Shivdas Sharma and Deputy Director (Programme) Art & Culture G Dharmadas Sharma will also be attending the event in Japan.

The team of the Government Dance College will be participating in the Namaste India in Tokyo and performing at various cities- Kariya city, Aichi, Niigata, Kyoto, Tsuruga city and Osaka in Japan from September 26 to October 11 .
The artistes of the Government Dance College were flagged off by Art & Culture Commissioner Bobby Waikhom.
Namaste India is an event that takes place in Tokyo every year between the end of September and the beginning of October.
This festival aims to promote Indian culture, including food, clothes, music and dance.
