Oil retail outlet inaugurated, Min appeals all to ditch panic buying

CAP & PD Minister, Karam Shyam inaugurated HK Oil Service, a retail outlet of petrol and diesel of Indian Oil Corporation, today near Lamphel Fishery Farm.
Speaking on the inaugural ceremony as chief guest, Minister Karam Shyam conveyed that a total of 84 retail outlets have been set up in Manipur so far including today's inauguration of the oil pump while around, 77 retail outlet have been established under IOC.
Opening of such retail outlets at different parts of the State have proved beneficial to the public, he claimed.
The Minister further conveyed that the State Government has been able to put maximum control over adulteration of oil while stressing on the need to adopt a sense of competition among different retail outlets present in the State.
He pointed that the retail outlets often shut down or decrease the distribution of petrol/diesel, even when the oil is available at stock, whenever an issue erupts or the NHs are shut off while appealing the public to ditch the habit of panic buying.
He also appealed the retail outlets concerned to provide petrol/diesel if it is available in stock.
Karam Shyam expressed hope that the numerous retail outlets available would come in handy at times of crisis when oil at some outlet are used up.
On the other hand, HK Oil Service Proprietor Harindu Koijam assured to manage and run the outlet efficiently and truthfully for the convenience of the public.
Promising to avoid adulteration of oil, he stated that the outlet will supply its best quality oil to the public.
