Thoubal, October 23 2019: District Health Society Thoubal in association with AVBDM Thoubal Branch and Blood Bank and Transfusion Unit DH Thoubal jointly organized the observance function of 'National Blood Donation Day' for Thoubal district at the Counting Hall of Thoubal DC Complex today.

The function which was held on the theme "At least donate once in a Lifetime" was attended by CMO Thoubal Dr N Jayentakumar; SP Thoubal Dr S Ibomcha and pradhan Khangabok GP M Manglemjao as dignitaries.

As part of the function, CMO Thoubal Dr N Jajentakumar flagged off an awareness rally to promote voluntary blood donation from LM High School, Thoubal Athokpam to DC Complex which was participated by medical staff and students.

A one-day blood donation camp was also held with the participation of different organisation while many resource persons spoke on the necessity of blood donation and its benefits.

During the function, the presidium members encouraged 17 recognized blood donor organisations with simple gifts.
