CRPF civic action programme continues

As part of the Civic Action Programme, 86 Bn CRPF under the aegis of MS Shekhawat, IGP Manipur and Nagaland Sector CRPF distributed 29 solar lamps to the villagers of Kharam Pallen in Kangpokpi district on Wednesday.
The programme was conducted under the supervision of Mohd Yusuf, Commandant, 86 Bn CRPF, said a release issued by 86 Bn CRPF.
Speaking on the occasion, Mohd Yusuf stated that the assistance was provided with the aim to extend a helping hand to the residents of Kharam Pallen and maintain the cordial relation between security forces and locals of the area.
Moreover, 143 Bn CRPF also conducted a Civic Action Programme on December 22 at Sapermeina in Kangpokpi District and distributed 12 sewing machines to the poor families of the village.
Akhilesh Kumar Yadav, Second-in-Command of 143 Bn CRPF distributed the sewing machines and sports items in the presence of M Santosh Singh, Deputy Commandant; O Riza Chanu, Assistant Commandant, 143 Bn CRPF; and Twipajang, chief of Hentinsei among others, said a release issued by 143 Bn CRPF.
Addressing the gathering, Akhilesh Kumar Yadav expressed his happiness in getting the opportunity to fulfill the long withstanding need of the villagers and assured the gathering that the unit will continue to serve the people of Manipur by carrying out such humanitarian activities.
The villagers expressed their appreciation to the battalion for its initiative and urged the CRPF to carry out similar programmes in the future.
