Bishnupur, October 22 2020:
Kege Moirang Kendra Apunba Lup (KEMKAL) has urged all who attempted to rob valuables from the temple of Ibudhou Thangjing at Moirang to appear before the lup or the district police at the earliest.
The lup also urged the State Government and authorities concerned to arrest all who attempted to break into the sacred temple, which is shielded by three gates.
Speaking to media persons during a press meet held today at the first gate of Ibudhou Thangjing, KEMKAL secretary, Hemam Somikanta stated that concealing such hateful incident which took place on the intervening night of October 4 and 5 by the very people who are serving at the temple is very unfortunate.
The lup is extremely disappointed at the priests, priestess and people in charge of the temple for not letting others probe into the matter, he said and added that CSOs and Ima lups based in Moirang will take their course of action if the prevailing situation at the temple is not revealed to the people at the earliest.
Ibudhou Thangjing doesn't belong to a group of people or a mandal but to the people of Manipur, he added.
He maintained that a written complaint has been submitted to Bishnupur SP to find out the culprits and further expressed disappointment at the people in charge of the temple for not approaching the district police till date.
KEMKAL president M Santikumar, advisor Y Surjitkumar Khuman also attended the press meet among others.
