Book released : Arangpham Mashil Ashengba Shaktam

A book entitled "Arangpham Mashil Ashengba Shaktam" was released today at Keishampat Lairembi Community Hall, Imphal.
The book is a joint compilation of Aribam Chitreshwar Sharma and Irengbam Ibobi Singh respectively.
The registrar of Manipur University Dr Naorem Loken Singh, National Academy Awardee in fine arts Thoidingjam Tombi Singh and the Chairman of the Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur Dr Hamom Naba Singh have graced the function as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest of the function Dr Naoren Loken Singh said that the release of the book on Arangpham is a good contribution to the culture and history of Manipur.
The chief editor of the book, Aribam Chitreshwar Sharma elaborated that the contents of the book � regarding Manipuri marriages � how it is of great importance to not only the Meitei Marup but also the Hindus.
He also requested the readers to suggest for improvement of the book.
The compiler also spoke about the changes in the rules and regulations required for the publication of a book in the present day as compared with the past decades.
The Choreographer of JN Manipur Dance Academy Wangkhem Loken Singh elaborated on the needs of conserving the culture and tradition if the State, be it architecture, dress, culture or tradition.
The Chairman of the Council of Higher Education Manipur Dr Hamom Naba stressed on the need and importance if knowing the writers' thoughts while reading any kind of book.
He also talked that the duties of Arangpham is easier in saying than in doing.
