'Save Forest' competition

Prizes to position winners of the poster making competition on the theme 'Save Forest' organised by Little Flower School, Tidim Road, were distributed today at the LFS premises with Additional Principal Chief conservator of Forest RK Srivastava gracing the event as the chief guest.
In his brief address, Srivastava called upon every section of the society to contribute their mite in the preservation and protection of the environment.
Opining that mere observation and deliberation on the issue of global climate change cannot maintain ecological balance, he emphasised on actual participation in afforestation activities so that the future generation can live under a conducive and friendly environment.
The competition was held as a part of the World Environment Day observance held recently under the theme 'Think, Eat, Save' .
While Maria Montessori Senior Secondary School bagged the grand prize, the individual prize winners included Mrinalini Ayekpam (Paree Imom Sindam Shang), Kh Gunibala Chanu (Nirmalabas High School), N Nganthoisana (RK Sanatombi devi Vidyalaya), Moirangthem Stefi (Kendriya Vidyalaya-1), Annie Moirangthem (Maria Montessori SSS), Chingtham Manila (LFS), M Rojina Devi (martin Grammar School) and Kharibam Sylvia (Praja High School) .
Moreover, Ashangbam Sanjit was adjudged as the best mobilizer of the year with the best conservator of the year conferred to Moirangthem Loya.
