The second batch of Post Harvest Technology training programme sponsored by the Department of Bio-Technology, Government of India has commenced today at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Hengbung campus, reports our correspondent.
The three-day training programme inaugurated by Dr N Jyotsna, programme coordinator, KVK, Hengbung, Senapati is being organized by Amity International Centre for Post Harvest Technology & Cold Chain Management, (AICPHT& CCM), Amity University, Noida, Uttar Pradesh in collaboration with Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Hengbung, Senapati.
During the inaugural function, Dr BS Hansra, Professor, AICPHT& CCM, Amity University, Noida, UP, highlighted the needs and importance of post harvest management as a source of livelihood.
Dr Neeru Dubey, Nagaluxmi M Raman, Dr J Shankara Swamy, Amity University and Nemnu Hangshing, KVK-Senapati also attended the inaugural function as resource persons.
