Students with attendance below 60 pc will be barred from exam at PCM, says TSA Sadar Hills

Kangpokpi, June 20 2019:
In its attempt to streamline and generate quality education at Presidency College Motbung, the lone Government College in Kangpokpi district, TSA Sadar Hills has taken up various measures besides setting minimum attendance required to sit in examinations.
Speaking to media persons this afternoon at Kangpokpi DHQs, Thangtinlen Haokip, general secretary TSA Sadar Hills said that after monitoring the functioning of the college for quite some times TSA Sadar Hills has noticed very low attendance among students.

Identifying the poor attendance record of the students as one major factor for declining infrastructures and educational environment, he said that TSA Sadar Hills has decided to take up strict measures to ensure higher attendance rate.
Students must record a minimum of 60 pc attendance in order to sit in college examinations starting this session 2019-20 .
Those students who fall short of the 60 pc will not be able to sit in university examinations, he said.
Meanwhile, TSA Sadar Hills appealed authority concerned and Education Minister to collectively find a solution to streamline the Government run Colleges in the State.
