Imphal, December 18 2021:
Keirao AC MLA Lourembam Rameshwar Meetei has appealed all the politicians to engage in politics based on developments instead of engaging in inciting communal hatred and dividing the people based on community.
Lourembam Rameshwar Meetei, who is also the deputy chairman of Manipur State Planning Board, said this while attending a meritorious felicitation programme organised jointly by Arapti Mayai Leikai Development Association (ADA) and Urup Arapti development Coordinating Committee on December 16.Speaking at the programme, L Rameshwar added that Keirao AC was one of the constituencies which was lagging behind others in all developmental fronts and it was very unfortunate that some people were deliberately causing hindrance in effort to carry forth the AC under various schemes of the Government.
He alleged that some people were trying to create a barrier amongst various communities of Keirao AC with the aim of dividing the people with the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly election in sight.
Such actions will definitely hinder the development of Keirao and all intending candidates should refrain from such narrow minded political moves.
Regarding the felicitation programme, MLA Rameshwar appealed the organisers to organise felicitation for youths who cleared prestigious examinations in order to motivate the upcoming generations of youth.
He also appealed the youth clubs to take up the responsibility for keeping the road connecting Arapti and Urup clean and planting cherry trees along this stretch of the road.
The programme was also attended by S Ranjit, president ADA; Kh Chandrababu, president UADCOC and S Maniton, president KEDO as presidium members.
