Bishnupur, June 18 2019: As observed across the globe on June 5, Legal Aid Clinic Kwakta under the aegis of District Legal Services Authority Bishnupur observed 'World Environment Day' on the theme "Air Pollution" at Kwakta Bazar community hall and planted 50 tree saplings as part of the function.

The observance function was attended by District & Session Judge who is also Chairman of District Legal Services Authority Bishnupur, Ngaineikim Kipgen as Chief Guest; Chief Judicial Magistrate Bishnupur, Secretary District Legal Service Authority Bishnupur, Monalisa Maibam as functional president and Judicial Magistrate 1st Class, Bishnupur Divisional Secretary DLSA Bishnupur, Margaret Niangsiamkim; Chairperson Kwakta Municipal Council Md Maheruddin and Councillor Md Abo as guests of honour.

Associate Professor Kumbi College, L Gopal Singh spoke in detail on observing 'World Environment Day' and the responsibilities of each individual in preserving the environment by planting more trees as resource person.

Delivering the chief guest speech, District & Session Judge, Ngaineikim Kipgen said that we should take care of the nature.

Speaking at the occasion, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Monalisa Maibam emphasised on preserving the environment.
