Imphal, August 17 2021: An awareness campaign on voluntary blood donation was held yesterday at Kombirei hall in Imphal West DC complex organised by State Blood Cell, National Health Mission in association with Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan Imphal West.

The importance of donating blood by individuals between the age group of 18 to 65 years amid this critical situation of COVID-19 pandemic to avoid shortage of blood in the State were addressed during the campaign.

Deputy Director of NYK Imphal West, L Mafjitkumar, State Programme Officer of State Blood Transfusion Cell, State Health Mission NHM Dr H Khamkhanpao Simte, secretary of Network for Economic Welfare Service, Kumbi Kh Nilachandra, secretary of Association for Voluntary Blood Donor Manipur Thoubal Branch, Nabakumar TC and account & programme supervisor of NYK Imphal West T Sanajaoba attended the campaign and spoke as resource persons.
