Imphal, March 17 2015: Womenfolk under the auspices of Women's Development Committee of Khurai Puthiba and Nandeibam Leikai staged a sit in to protest against the bomb blast at the residence of Ch Tombi, vice-chairman of IUCB located at Khurai Puthiba Leikai last night around 8.30 .

Strongly condemning the blast, the protesters demanded the group/individuals concerned to clarify the act at the earliest.

Taking part in the protest, a woman leader, Sailem Manglembi categorically asked why such attacks were launched in residential areas causing panic among the civilian population.

She also said that the attack last night was very unfortunate.

Urging the group/individuals concerned to make room for settling any difference through negotiation, she further said that rooms for correction of any guilty should be given.

She further appealed to all concerned not to repeat such acts in future.
