L Dikho inaugurates cultural session of PNTM conference

PHE Minister L Dikho has inaugurated the cultural session of the ongoing Poumai Naga Students Union conference at Saranamai village on Wednesday.
The programme was also attended by Dr Alexander Pao, ex-MLA and ADC Members, Athili Sakrii and Alexander Maikho and officials of Naga Students Federation, United Naga Council Chakhesang Students and Razeba Range Students Unions.
Addressing the gathering, Kho John, UNC president, stated that Poumai Naga tribe is one of the biggest tribe in Manipur after the Tangkhul and the Zeliangrong and called for unity in the land.
Education is meant to spell out the evil and injustice from the society, he said and maintained that modern education has also trained the young students to be a leader.
Speaking as chief guest, Dikho asks the senior leaders to keep supporting and backing the youth at present so as to let them shine in their own way.
Calling such conference as important, the Minister called the young learners to contribute their shares to the society and the state at large.
Cultural items like folk songs and dances were showcased during the programme.
