PHED Ukhrul notifies disruption in water supply

Ukhrul, March 15 2024: The Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Ukhrul informed all water consumers of the District Headquarters that there will be no tap water supply for some days In this regard, Executive Engineer (EE) Themreishang Marei informed that the main water pipe coming from Shirui source has to be relocated and a new pipeline has to be laid which may take at least a week to complete the process.

He further mentioned that the ongoing road improvement work from Main road to Old District Hospital Kamphasom Ukhrul has affected the laid water pipeline, therefore it needs to be shifted and laid again to prevent damages.

The EE appealed to all residents of Ukhrul town to bear for a few days until the pipeline is properly mended for an uninterrupted water supply.

He further informed that during the aforementioned period, there will be no water supply in the whole town area.
