AMUCO organises street corner meetings

Imphal, January 15 2019: Denouncing the Citizenship Amendment Bill 2016, All Manipur United Clubs' Organisation (AMUCO) organised street corner meetings at three different locations namely Patsoi, Naoremthong Bazar and Tera Bazar today.

A press release issued by AMUCO secretary publicity stated that AMUCO vice-presidents K Helen and NC Modhuchandra, secretary general S Sanjoy and organisation secretary L Thoithoi were some of the spokespersons at the meetings.

The meeting expressed that the recently passed CAB 2016 will leave a profound impact in the entire North east, especially in Manipur where there is minimum number of land and population.

It stated that the State is presently facing a great influx of migrants and still does not have a law to shield such influx.

The meeting further resolved to stand firm and continue fighting against the Bill, it added.
