Imphal, October 14 2024: Sangeet Kala Sangam organised a State Level Pung Cholom Festival at its auditorium in Khurai Lamlong Bazar, Imphal in the memory of Late Guru Chingangbam Angou Singh.

The festival was conducted under the Cultural Function Grant Scheme, Ministry of Culture, Government of India.

It was graced by P Bilash Singh, Director, Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy.

Imphal; N Babuton Singh, president, Sangeet Kala Sangam and Arambam Tombinou Devi, retired Pradhan Guru, JNMDA as presidium members.

The festival began with the lighting of the inaugural lamp followed by offering of floral tributes to a photograph of (L) Guru Chingangbam Angou.

At the event, P Bilash called for collective effort to promote & preserve the culture and traditional arts forms of Manipur.

The keynote address was delivered by M Basanta Singh, secretary of Sangeet Kala Sangam.
