NMYSO distributes relief items

Northern Maram Students' & Youths' Organizations (NMSYO) continued to reach out to non-local students who have been stranded at Maram locality due to the Nationwide lockdown.
It was the second time the student organisations have, distributed essential food commodities including 5 kg of rice, 2 kg of potatoes, 4 eggs, 2 kg dal 2 kg, 1 packet of salt one packet to every non-local students studying at Maram Don Bosco College, having done the same earlier on April 3 .
The charitable work to help the stranded students staying at Kavanam, Sagongbam, Maram Bazar, Ramlong and Lairouching villages was conducted with support from ADC Senapati in the presence of local ADC members, A Rang and Thomas Luba at Maram Centre Helipad Ground.
With scarcity of essential commodities affecting the local villagers, NMSYO had garnered the available stocks in the local market to ensure that non-local students are taken due care even with the minimal and basic food items.
In all, 105 students belonging to different communities from across Manipur, Arunachal, Sikkim, Uttarakhand received the food items delivered by NMSYO.
Responding their acknowledgement to the guardian role played by the NMSYO, stranded non local students expressed staying at Maram locality even in such a situation is feeling more homely.
Some students also expressed concern on availability of LPG gas cylinder and water scarcity problem.
The first phase of free distribution was held on 3rd April, wherein, 97 non local students were served with relief items.
Meanwhile, the Maram Khullen Students' Union expressed their sincere appreciation to RS Karakoti, the Commandant of 34 Assam Rifles Maram for providing water to Maram Khullen villagers during such a dry season.
The villagers also wished him luck in his future endeavour.
