Imphal, February 14 2016: MLA Moirangthem Prithiviraj and MLA O Landhoni today opened the 'Awunching - The Great Escape' park at Pheidinga hillock with customary rituals.

The park is built over 36 hectares of land belonging to Ningthemcha (O) Brajamani Devi - a wedding gift from her father Khumukcham Tolchou.

The project to set up 'Awunching' began in 2003, RK Chitrabrata, family member of Brajamani in- formed.

The entry fee to the park is Rs 30 per head.

It has a separate play ground and play kits for childrens which are free, Chitrabrata stated.

Local clubs under Pheidinga had contributed to the project, she informed.
