In a focused effort to support school children in Manipur, Assam Rifles distributed school uniforms and sweets to 17 children of Ema Foundation, Imphal West District on December 12, 2024.According to a release issued by HQ IGAR(South), the initiative underscored the force's commitment to fostering education and stability in sensitive regions, especially amidst the ongoing challenges in the State.
The event, held at Ema Foundation, was attended by Assam Rifles personnel alongside the staff and children of the orphanage, situated in Keithelmanbi.
Ema Foundation provides shelter and education to children aged 6 to 14, serving as a cornerstone of hope in a region marked by socio-political tension.
The new uniforms, a symbol of renewal and opportunity, were welcomed with enthusiasm by the children, equipping them with the confidence needed to pursue their education.
