NSCN-IM accuses NIA

NSCN-IM has accused the National Investigation Agency (NIA) of "unduly questioning" one of the outfit's leaders identified as one Kishore Jeedung, amember of the Steering Committee, the highest decision making body of the organisation on July 12 at the leader ' s residence at Dhansiripar, Dimapur.
Strongly condemning the incident, the NSCN-IM alleged that the NIA team led by one deputy superintendent from Assam Branch along with other staff and three Nagaland police personnel came and asked many personal questions as well as on matters concerning his service as a national worker.
Though he was not physically harassed, it is mentally quite disturbing.
The purpose of their visit was not disclosed, NSCN-IM said in a statement.
According to NSCN-IM, during these more than 70 years of armed conflict in Nagalim, human rights violations have been committed by the Indian Army and the Indian leaders.
