Actor Mahesh donates street lamps; aims for 'Digital Keishamthong'

Imphal, April 13 2019: Film actor Mahesh Thounaojam of Keishampat Aheibam Leikai has donated street lamps to Hodam Leirak Club today.

About 57 street lamps will be installed at Hodam Leirak, he said and added that earlier he had donated street lamps to two Leikais including Aheibam Leikai.

"Hodam Leirak has one of the busiest roads in the area.

Poor lighting on the road may cause accidents and unwanted crimes.

Considering these, the street lamps were donated," he said.

The donation is a first step towards "Digital Keishamthong" he said informing that he has plans to bring development at his level best as a youth of the area.

According to a survey conducted in Keishamthong, he said, he found as many as hundred children not enrolled in schools.

Steps are being taken up to enrol these children in schools, he added.

A free coaching for Class X and XII students of the area will also be organised, he said and appealed the people in the area to assist him in the various planned projects.

Hodam Leirak Club, general secretary Takhellambam Gyanend Singh lauded Mahesh for his contributions in bringing about a "Digital Keishamthong" .
