Senapati, February 13 2020: All Tribal Entrepreneurs Association, Manipur (ATEAM) in a statement today has questioned the District Administration and State Government for maintaining silence regarding the running of a Senapati DIC office by a transferred official from Imphal.

ATEAM president, SH Paode asked since when did the DIC, Senapati office was shifted to Imphal after the former General Manager, DIC Senapati/Kangpokpi identified as one Karuna Devi took the charge.

"We the entrepreneurs/applicants have complained twice and published in the local dailies but there is no response from the authorities concerned till date", it alleged further claiming that a new General Manager was posted on February 7, 2020, but the former transferred General Manager refused to hand over the charge to the new GM till today.

Asserting that the Senapati DIC office is completely paralysed as the former General Manager denied to hand over the necessary files/information regarding the PMEGP scheme, it alleged that the former General Manager is still working on PMEGP 2019-20 scheme of DIC Senapati/Kangpoki at her residence without the knowledge/concern of the DIC office, Senapati/Kangpokpi.

Objecting such functioning by DIC official, the ATEAM questioned the silence of Senapati District Administration and State Government.

It also said that the much-appreciated interest and policy of the Manipur Government to support startups, local entrepreneurs and especially PMEGP candidates are discouraged by such "unethical and shameful activities" .

ATEAM then urged the authorities concerned to look into the matter and resolve the issue at the earliest.
