Imphal, January 13 2024:
The State unit of Shiv Sena has demanded immediate removal of Security Advisor Kuldiep Singh from the position he holds.
Speaking to the media persons at Babupara today, Shiv Sena, Manipur president M Tombi said that Kuldiep Singh has failed to enforce law and order in Manipur and as such he should be removed.
He continued that they will head to New Delhi soon and put forward their demand to change the Security Advisor to the Central leadership.
Maintaining that the law and order situation in Manipur is distressing , M Tombi stated that the statement given by the Security Advisory on the Manipur crisis contradicts those given by the Governor and the Chief Minister.
While the Governor and the Chief Minister had spoken of the involvement of Kuki terrorists from Myanmar in keeping the State unstable in public platforms, the Security Advisor blatantly denied the same by stating that there is no evidence, he rued and added that people are confused because of the different observations on Manipur violence especially by the people occupying important positions.
M Tombi went on to say that the Centre stripping the power from the Chief Minister to supervise the law and order in the State is unfortunate and is akin to humiliating the people of Manipur.
Stating that the people of Manipur are still restless due to the ongoing strife, he urged the BJP Government to give utmost priority on saving Manipur and restoring normalcy.
Shiv Sena may boycott the elections if it is indispensable to protect Manipur, Tombi warned and claimed that the objective of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra of the Congress party is to take political advantage.
Further stating that Shiv Sena condemns the murder of four firewood collectors in the strongest terms, he urged the Government to arrest all the murderers and take up legal actions against them at the earliest.
