Child Friendly PS opened at Bishnupur

Bishnupur, August 12 2019:
Bishnupur DC, Neeta Arambam has inaugurated a Child Friendly Police Station constructed under Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015 at the complex of Bishnupur Women Police Station, today.
At the event, Chairperson of Child Welfare Committee Bishnupur, P Premchand and Director, Childline Bishnupur, L Pishak spoke in detail about the objective of opening the new station.
Speaking as the chief guest of the event, Neeta Arambam said that the Supreme Court and National Commission for Protection of Child Right (NCPCR) have ordered to open similar station in all districts for the betterment and wellbeing of the juvenile.
Stating that there is a need to give proper training and orientation about the Acts/Laws enacted for the well being of children like Juvenile Justice Care and Protection Act 2015; POCSO Act 2012; Immoral Trafficking Prevention Act 1956; Child Labour Act 1986 etc to the officials of the Child Friendly PS, the DC assured to provide possible help through District Administration in conducting the training programme for the officials if required.
Similar Child Friendly PS were also opened at Nambol PS; Moirang PS; Kumbi PS and Keibul PS today, she added.
Hopson Sapam also attended the programme organised by Bishnupur Police among others.
