Winter crop seeds distributed

Bishnupur/Jiribam, December 11 2024: MLA of Moirang Assembly constituency, Thongam Shanti along with District Agriculture and Horticulture office, Bishnupur distributed winter crop seeds to the farmers of the constituency today.

The 2nd phase seeds distribution was held at the office of Moirang MLA located at Moirang Philem Leikai.

A total number of more than 70 beneficiaries including 4 societies and 8 combined groups were handed seeds of various crops including potato, com, american pea, wheat and black lentils at free of cost.

Meanwhile, Cashnut Development Officer, CDO and Department of Horticulture & Soil Conservation today distributed hybrid winter vegetables seeds to selected beneficiary farmers of Jiribam district under Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDHI) 2024-25 and Chief Minister Initiative for livelihood revival of Unemployment Youths & Farmer.

The seeds distribution ceremony was attended by Deputy Commissioner of Jiribam, Krishna Kumar (IAS), Cashnut Development Officer, CDO, SDC M Debananda Singh (MCS), Divisional Agriculture Officer, Md Nayeem and Asst Horticulture Inspector, K Dhiren Singh.

More than 150 beneficiary were handed winter crops seeds to enhance productivity and increase their livelihoods.
