AHPI launches Medical Media Fellowship

The Association of Healthcare Providers (AHPI) Manipur Chapter has announced the launch of its first AHPI Medical Media Fellowship, an innovative two-month training programme designed to enhance media professionals' understanding of the challenges and satisfaction of delivering quality healthcare in Manipur.
Scheduled to run from December 1, 2024 to January 31, 2025, the fellowship offers a unique opportunity for four selected candidates, including two from print media and one unit from electronic media (comprising a cameraman and a reporter), to deepen their expertise in covering medical and healthcare topics.
According to a release issued by AHPI Manipur Chapter, the Medical Media Fellowship is tailored for experienced journalists under the age of 40 who have at least five years of experience, preferably with a background in medical reporting.
This immersive programme, spanning four hours each day, will cover a well-rounded curriculum wherein participants will benefit from a wide array of healthcare topics.
Interested journalists may submit their applications at AHPI Manipur Chapter office in Acme Fertility and Healthcare Centre on or before November 25, 2024.Scrutiny of the application forms will be conducted on November 28, 2024 and results will be announced on the same day.
Prospective fellows must include a copy of their professional journalist registration certificate; proof of at least five years of experience post-registration; any prior fellowship experience (if applicable); list of healthcare-related articles they have previously published, with links if available; and information about their current media affiliation (newspaper, TV, or radio) .
The course will conclude with a certification ceremony at the AHPICON NE II Conclave on February 15, 2025, at the City Convention Centre, Imphal East.
