Training / demonstration on "Citrus Rejuvenation" organized at Tamenglong

Tamenglong, September 11 2019: Two days training cum demonstration on "Citrus Rejuvenation" was organized by Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Tamenglong (Noney), ICAR Research Complex, Manipur Centre at Khogjaron village, Tamenglong on September 10 & 11 .

Altogether, 25 farmers from Khongjaron village and Chiuluan village of Tamenglong attended the training programme.

The function was graced by MG Poukinlung, ADC Member, Khongjaron.

During the training programme, expert from KVK Tamenglong gave lectures on different aspect.

Dr RK Roshan, SMS (Horticulture) delivered lectured on 'Production of Disease free Quality planting materials of Citrus and Identification and Management of Decline Citrus Orchard'; Ginbuanlung Gangmei, Farm Manager spoke on 'Scientific cultivation practice of Citrus and it problems'', Lungkhong Riamei (Programme Assistant) trained the farmers on 'Preparation and uses of Bordeaux paste' .

As part of the programme, a field visit at Citrus orchard was conducted for identification of various problems related to Citrus and a demonstration on Citrus Rejuvenation was also organised.

Input like fertilizer, compost, insecticide, fungicides, micronutrients, and other small farm tools were also distributed during the programme.
