KISH, SUPCM condole Henkholen

Kuki Inpi Sadar Hills (KISH) and Students' Union Presidency College, Motbung (SUPCM) have condoled the death of Henkholen Sitlhou, who was the founder and former principal of Presidency College, Motbung and Damdei Christian College.
In a condolence message to the bereaved family members, N.Sehjalien Gangte, General Secretary of KISH said, "At this hour of sudden death of your dear husband and beloved father, Kuki Inpi Sadar Hills shared our heartfelt and deepest condolence with you.
Let us make his soul rest in peace at the feet of the Almighty.
Have courage to face the situations when we are all with you in sharing your irreparable loss which no words can fill in" .
Sehjalien also noted that late Henkholen Sitlhou was also the man who drafted the first memorandum raising the demand for making Sadar Hills a full-fledged district.
The memorandum was submitted to the then Lt.Governor Kohli in the year 1970.Subsequently, the Indian Parliament passed an Act for upgrading Sadar Hills into a full-fledged district and issued a Govt.Gazette in this regard in 1971.Unfortunately, the Indian Parliament Act and Gazette have been ignored till date Henkholen Sitlhou, the man who drafted and submitted the memorandum could not see his dream materialized, KISH Gen.Secy lamented.
Students' Union Presidency College, Motbung also shared their deepest condolence to the bereaved family of Late Henkholen Sitlhou.
In a joint statement, Lunminlal Kipgen, Advisor of the Student Union and its Gen.Secy.
Haolenthang Lhouvum said the student community of the college was deeply sadden to have lost someone who was a special part of the family(college) .
