Darjeeling MP Raju Bista visits Motbung Presidency College

Kangpokpi, October 10 2019: The second youngest Parliamentarian in India, Darjeeling BJP MP Raju Bista visited Presidency College Motbung today where he was warmly felicitated by the college authority.

Raju Bista, 33, born and brought up in Charhajare, Kangpokpi district studied at Presidency College Motbung, one of the oldest colleges in Manipur till 1997 in Arts stream before shifting to Darjeeling in West Bengal.

Addressing the gathering at the felicitation function held at the College Jubilee Hall in the presence of Principal Dr T Gangte and staff, the MP gave the college credit for his success and stated that it had moulded him to achieve his present status.

"I will not disappoint my college.

I will try my level best to fly high the name of Presidency College at all times," he said.

"Even though I am elected from Darjeeling, as I was born and raised in Manipur, I will always put all possible efforts for the development of the State Manipur," he said.

Welcoming the MP, Dr T Gangte, Principal, Presidency College Motbung stated that Raju Bista is an inspiration to all the students of the college.

Gangte also wished the MP success in his future endeavours and service towards society.

The Delhi-based entrepreneur, Raju Bista, was also the managing director of Surya Roshni Limited before the Saffron party fielded him as their chosen candidate in the 2019 MP election from Darjeeling in West Bengal.
