HUBTF fetes 5 Tangkhul theologians

Ukhrul, August 09 2022: Hunphun/Ukhrul Baptist Theologian Forum (HUBTF) felicitated five Tangkhul theologians for their achievements today.

With regards to their achievements, it may be noted that Rev Dr Shimreingam L Shimray was appointed as the Principal of Eastern Theological College (ETC), Jorhat Assam and Rev HA Tamreingam was elevated to the post Secretary Northern Tangkhul Baptist Association (NTNBA) while the three other individuals Dr Josiah Zingkhai, Dr Taimay a Ragui and Dr Sword Zingkhai were awarded Doctorate in Theological Studies.

Speaking on the occasion, Rev Zaklei Kaping, pastor PBC, gave a brief background and objective for the formation of HUBTF.

He cited the good teaching of apostle Paul and added they must be adopted by all in order to live meaningfully and be a living model for all.

The president of HUBTF Rev Somi Kasomwoshi handed over the memento to the five achievers.

Rev Dr Shimreingam, L Shimray and Rev HA Tamreingam delivered speeches extending their gratitude.

The felicitation programme was hosted by Hunphun Baptist Church and sponsored by Hunphun Ukhrul Baptist Theologian Forum at HBC Church Luiyainaotang, Ukhrul.
